About Us

I was raised in the industry, and it became customary to hear about option money, closing dates, and details of an inspection at the dinner table. As an adult, I tried other professional avenues but ultimately returned to what I knew best—real estate. You know, the whole apple and tree.

In 2005, Mom and I opened our property management company in Austin, Texas. In 2008, when everyone was running for the hills out of real estate—I went all in and became a REALTOR®. At this time, my mom and I helped investors buy and sell investment properties to add to their portfolios. 

We call those early days the “Wild West” because there weren’t many rules in lending or in property management. If you remember the movie The Big Short, we lived it! We were fighting to keep our clients’ heads above water in and out of courtrooms.

In 2012, after surviving those crazy days, I became a real estate broker in Texas. Since then, I’ve joined forces with my wonderful husband, Loran, to bring Navigate Real Estate to life. We work to ensure our clients have all the tools necessary to keep deals going smoothly and reduce barriers. 

Plus, our two kids are always in tow to open houses and new builder forums. They are very comfortable walking right into homes. I must say it; things can get pretty awkward when they think ALL homes are free to enter.

I grew up in the Cascade Mountains of Washington state. As a rambunctious boy, I had no fear and enjoyed playing in the dirt, camping, and riding my horse to elementary school—not allowed, as I later found out.

In 2001, I enrolled in the Diver Institute of Technology (DTI) in Seattle to study commercial diving. Within three years, I was a saturation diver, diving to depths of 700 ft. At that depth, everything is pitch black, and I would work 8-hour shifts in sheer darkness to fix pipelines. You need quick wit, patience, and a knack for problem-solving to be a great sat diver.

After 15 years in the industry, I retired and began renovating and flipping homes. When working with my clients, there are times when quick wit and problem-solving can save them thousands. My superpower is that I never get frazzled by an obstacle. I think swiftly and proficiently when I work, which can make all the difference in the overall ROI or asset liquidity of my client’s demand.

When I’m not helping clients acquire or sell their properties, I enjoy spending time on my mini farm with my two kids and wife.

Texas is home to so many great people and places and things.

Every part of this great state has something unique to offer from the local food, accents, or climate. I have grown up here and have family in all parts of Texas, so I can tell you about most areas firsthand. I am familiar with the growth in and around Austin, as well as the quickly growing areas West of San Antonio. I am more than happy to show you the beauty of our Texas coast!
